Host A Reading

Readers’ theater is easy to mount. Cast members immerse themselves in the story but they do not have to memorize lines. They stage readings and discuss the issues. Some groups will go public and book a place for larger performances and discussions.

Here are some simple steps:

  • Download & copy the script
  • Select readers
  • Encourage cast members to read Svetlana Alexievich’s book
  • Rehearse
  • Invite friends to attend reading
  • Give local performances
  • Book a space and get out the word
  • Announce your performance at Voices from Chernobyl
  • Share your experience
